Broulee Boardriders Surfing Club, Batemans Bay

On the Second Saturday of each month Broulee board riders members all meet at 7am Sharp at South Broulee Beach near Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast. The clubs history is very long with the first competition for the club held in the 1960's and now more than 40 years on is still going strong.

The Broulee boardriders club is one of the oldest of its kind in Australia. There have been so many great surfers to come out of these local competitions. These are some of the photos of one of our recent monthly point score competitions.

In this shot ex-junior Champion Mitch Shiels of Mossy Point, Mitch took out the Opens men's title in 2007.

Here he is putting his square tail through its paces in the Open mens final last April, with a huge score aggregate he posted a score of 17 out of a possible 20 points.

Jake Spellacy is the Current Junior Club champion racking up some big scores on the hollow lefts at South Broulee in the Open men's final, finishing 4th.

The parents and friends that keep these club events happening also have a great time; we as a club like to keep it real with a strong family fun emphasis.

Broulee board riders short board competitions are held monthly, on the second Saturday of each month. The divisions are U/13, U/15 U/17, Open and Over 30 in both Male and female.
