Surf Coaching Trips, The Indonesian Pilgrimage

Each year a few lucky students and I complete an annual pilgrimage to Indonesia to relax and surf the best waves on the planet.. Each year I take a slected hand full of grommets on a surf/coaching/cultural experience to remote Indonesia. Each year the kids learn invaluable life lessons and hone their surfing skills in perfect uncrowded surf.

Here I have 4 of my competive students in Central Indonesia. About to head to the jungle for 2 weeks of Rice, fish and waves.

The grommets are always a big hit with the locals, even if they had guns???

We always have a great time many laughs and stupid stories of my last tube ride. After 3 weeks of coral reef cuts so Bali belly and too much rice we head home to the comforts of home.

I'm sure none of the grommets are going to forget their first trip to Indo in a hurry.
